Out of the Office and into the Wild: PCG's Summer Outing

A recent company outing to the Washington Zoo gave me some insight into the animals on both sides of the cages. Although the rain kept most of the four-legged creatures indoors, our two-legged PCG friends broke “out of the office and into the wild.”

After lunch in a pavilion near the Great Ape House, complete with a moon bounce and snow cones, we put our creativity to the test in a photo-scavenger hunt that showcased the fun-loving competitive spirit of PCG.

Two teams of PCG staff along with their friends and families set out with an arsenal of smart phones to capture rare footage of animals, including humans, in their natural habitat.

By the end of the hour, the teams had returned to the tent with award-winning photos and footage including interpretive animal dances, Steve Irwin-style segments with the zoo’s scariest animals. Many featured cameo appearances by zoo guests and staff.

As the newest member of the PCG team, I have to say that it was refreshing to see how much fun my new colleagues at PCG can be.
